About Young Leaders Program
The Green Governance Initiative (GGI) is a youth-based policy research think-tank that works in collaboration with elected representatives, policymakers, and administrators, to ensure the effective implementation of the “United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by incorporating it in India’s Vision 2030”. GGI aims to facilitate outreach of various social welfare schemes at the grassroots level - where constituency development is achieved through effective implementation of UN SDGs. The organisation also identifies potential inputs for sustainable and achievable outcomes, while ensuring optimum use of minimum resources. We especially look forward to build a holistic synergy between top-down model of governance by collaborating with private investors, technologists, policy- makers, thinkers, amongst others. We also seek new innovative ideas which include sustainable development approaches through identification of actual needs, issues and aspirations via a mechanism which begins from grassroots community. We firmly believe this will transform good governance to green governance.
At GGI, we trust that it is important to promote and bring today's youth on the front foot in the thematic areas of growth and development; involving them in policy- making and governance is a necessary step in this regard. Therefore, it is crucial to provide a platform and strategize development in target constituencies thereby making them an Ideal Parliamentary Constituency.
